…seatbelt laws and the draft, for example, are abridgments of liberty. Regulation of pollution is a totally separate issue relating to the intentional creation of negative externalities.

The logical problems you run into with vaccine mandates are:
1) they potentially cause harm
2) they are unnecessary, as anyone who wants protection from the virus can voluntarily get their own vaccine or take other precautions, such as simply staying home.

And with the COVID vaccine specifically, it doesn’t do any of the three things logically required of any vaccine to be mandated:
1) prevent spread
2) eradicate the disease
3) address a universally dangerous ailment

In fact, it doesn’t even come close.
